Dr. Daniel Im BSc (Toronto) BDent (Sydney)
Dr. Daniel Im graduated from The University of Toronto with Human Biology major. He then finished graduate dental school at The University of Sydney. He has wide range of experiences in major hospitals as well as private clinics in Sydney. To name a few, Dr Im had his oral surgery rotations at St. Vincents hospital and Prince of Wales hosptial with Maxillary facial surgeons and other general dental surgeons. Locally he has been very well integrated with the community when he worked in Lindfield and Chatswood as a private clinician. His international externship in Samsung Medical Centre, working with the president of Prosthodontics of South Korea has gained him further knowledge in occlusion, crown, bridge and implant dentistry.
Dr. Daniel Im also takes part in teaching the future dentists at the Dental School at The University of Sydney, as a clinical educator. Being a member in the faculty of Dentistry at The Sydney University, Dr Im sets his quality of work to the highest and provides A-plus quality dentistry.
In his spare time, Daniel paints and enjoys playing guitar and writes music. He is regularly involved with community work at local church and is known as someone that is friendly and trust worthy.
Dr Im grew up in Toronto, Canada, and went to a reputable Trinity College School, where he served as Head of the House.
He thinks he may have received artistic talents from his mother who is an artist in oil painting.
Dr. Yo-Han Kim BDS (Melbourne)
DR YO-HAN Kim grew up in sydney and attended Fort Street High school. He then went on to graduate from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Dental Science. He has since practiced in the blue mountains region, the Hills district and in regional Sydney. Since then Dr Yo-Han has travelled extensively attending seminars, conferences and building relationships with top specialists from around the world.
His philosophy is to treat each patient as a family member and only propose treatment options that he would perform to those closest to him. Armed with the most up to date equipment and techniques in dentistry Dr Yo-Han provides patients with a complete set of treatment options for every dental need. Keeping ahead of the curve with the advancements in Orthodontics, Invisalign and Implantology he is able to give patients every option available so that they can make an informed decision to achieve the best possible outcome.
Dr. Yo-Han is also known for his gentle touch and calming personality that has ensured his patients from rural sydney, the blue mountains and the hills district come back to him for treatment time and time again.
He enjoys travelling, going to new places and meeting new people. Dr Yo-Han Kim regularly travels to remote areas around the world to treat patients who have little idea of dental care and each time finds his time invested in these regions very rewarding.
Dr. Michael Carter BSc (Sydney) BDent (Sydney)
Dr Michael Carter studied a Bachelor of Health Science (Hearing & Speech) at the University of Sydney spending the majority of his time within the speech pathology department working with children and special needs patients. Dr Carter then attained a Bachelor of Dentistry at the University of Sydney, graduating with Honours. His honours was completed with the Orthodontic Department at Sydney Dental Hospital. To further his education, Dr Carter undertook a rotation at the Children's Hospital Westmead increasing his experience working with children, medically complex patients and special needs patients. He enjoys all aspects of Dentistry but is passionate about oral surgery, preventative dentistry and helping patients improve their oral health.
Committed to furthering his education, Dr Carter is currently studying Medicine at the University of Sydney. He aspires to become an Oral Maxillofacial surgeon so that he can provide the most comprehensive and up-to-date treatment for all patients.
Dr Carter is an avid sports fan who supports the NSW Waratahs, Wests Tigers and Arsenal FC. In his spare time he enjoys waterskiing, adventure sports and reading.
Dr. Eylul Farahani DDS, DClinDent, PhD (Sydney)
Dr. Eylul Farahani is a participating dentist in Triniti Dental Clinic, Sydney, NSW. She graduated from Yeditepe Faculty of Dentistry in Istanbul, Turkey in 2004. She had both worked and studied as a Registrar in the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery ( Dicle University, Turkey) and practiced in private clinic spontaneously. She had been awarded an overseas postgraduate education scholarship by the Ministry of National Education in which she commenced and completed her PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) in Oral Pathology at the University of Sydney.
While studying she had then been awarded a three year Bela Schwartz fellowship where Dr. Farahani has been working at the University of Sydney in Oral Surgery Department since 2009. Dr. Farahani had concluded her PhD thesis on osteosarcoma (a type of bone cancer) in 2012. She has also been working at the University of Sydney as a lecturer, PBL (Problem Based Learning) facilitator and clinical educator in addition to practicing at private clinic as a dentist. Dr. Farahani's aim is to offer the type of dentistry her patients want by providing an outstanding service and comfort.
Dr. Stella Yoon BDSc (Melbourne)
Dr Stella Yoon graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Dental Science. She then moved back to her hometown Sydney and pursued private practice in the Hills district and Southern Sydney. Dr Stella has a gentle caring chair-side manner and always aims to provide comfortable and pleasant dental experience. She communicates well to her patients and takes time to thoroughly explain procedures and treatment options prior to commencing work.
Dr Stella is also committed to educating patients so they become responsible for their own dental health. She is a skilled clinician who is passionate about achieving the best results for each of her patients. Dr Stella is dedicated to continuing education, constantly updating and improving her clinical knowledge in all aspects of general dental practice with a special interest in Preventative, Restorative, Cosmetic and Children’s dentistry. In her spare time, Dr Stella enjoys travelling, doing Yoga and Pilates.
Dr. Lisa Tong BSc (Columbia), BDent (Sydney)
Dr. Lisa Tong grew up in New York and attended the prestigious Stuyvesant High School. She graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering. She worked for Citigroup as an analyst in fixed income trading on Wall Street and Sydney, but she left the financial world to pursue her passion in dentistry. She later on graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Dentistry.
Through her experiences at Sydney and Westmead Dental Hospitals and elective placements at New York University and Columbia University Dental Schools, she has gained exposure and knowledge of different branches of General Dentistry. She has also received dental treatments on herself such as fillings, braces, orthograde and retrograde root canals, crowns, wisdom teeth removal, and implants, so she greatly understands and sees from patients’ own perspectives. Lisa believes in the importance of placing patients first by always keeping in mind of what they want and making sure their dental experiences are positive and pain-free.
She is committed to preventative care by placing emphasis on excellent oral hygiene care at home with regular checkups and a healthy diet. She also provides treatment in a thoughtful conservative manner with the use of advanced modern technology in dentistry. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. She enjoys computer and mobile technology, traveling around the world, long distance running, food blogging, and Chinese/Taiwanese cultural activities. She is also president of the Columbia Association of Australia, where she connects American expats in Sydney together and volunteers with them at soup kitchens and fundraising events.
Dr. Jin Y. Park BSc (Toronto), BDent (Sydney)
Dr. Jin Y. Park earned Hon. Bachelor of Science in Human Biology Specialist program from the University of Toronto. He extended his knowledge in Medical Science by researching on relations between stress and type 2 Diabetes in 2002 under a world renowned researcher, Dr. M. Vranic. He then completed Bachelor of Dentistry at the University of Sydney. Dr. Park enjoys all aspects of dentistry but particular interest in oral surgery, and preventative dentistry to improve his patients’ oral health. He is also passionate about gaining new knowledge on the most advanced techniques and procedures to provide best care in practice.
Dr. Park is highly dedicated and committed to providing ethical, honest and comfortable oral health care tailored to his patients. Dr. Park’s goal in treatment is providing painless and gentle dentistry. His gentle and understanding character makes him an ideal clinician for nervous children and anxious patients. For his spare time, Dr. Park is a keen golfer and an acoustic guitar player, where he is involved in various musical activities outside of dentistry.
Dr Claire (Ji Eun) Yi Bdent (USyd), BMedSc (UNSW)
Dr Claire Yi is a caring, gentle and softly spoken dentist, dedicated to providing the best treatment for her patients. She takes the time to get to know her patients and make them feel comfortable in an otherwise daunting environment. She understands that dental procedures are not always easy, so she makes sure the patient is comfortable through her her gentle touch and thorough communication.
Dr Claire studied Bachelor of Dentistry at University of Sydney and also has a Bachelors degree in Medical Science at University of New South Wales. She currently enjoys the full range of general dental practice. She also attends conferences, lectures and study groups to continue her professional development.
In her spare time, you can find Dr Claire flying a kite, reading a book or listening to a range of thought provoking podcasts and Ted talks.
Dr Douglas Lo BSC (QLD) BDent (Sydney)
Dr Douglas Lo grew up in Malaysia before he moved to Australia to pursue his further education. He graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Science degree, and later graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Dentistry degree. Dr Douglas has since attended conferences to expand his services to tailor to each patient. These include treatment planning, implant, aesthetic restorations and more.
Dr Douglas believes in integrating patient factors when making treatment plans. He aims to provide treatments that suit our patients and he understands that every patient is unique.
In his spare time, Dr Douglas enjoys training in the gym and exploring new places. He also enjoys sitting down with a good book and a cup of coffee every now and then.
